Does my solar require any maintenance or servicing?

Solenergy recommends you arrange to have your solar PV array cleaned once every 12 months. It is also recommended to arrange periodic inspections to check wiring integrity, electrical connections, corrosion, and mechanical protection of wiring.

A clean and safety check will give you and your family peace of mind and help ensure the best possible continued system performance.

Will my solar still work on cloudy days?

Your solar system will work on cloudy and overcast days, however production may be lower than other days.

Will hail damage the panels and would that be covered under the Warranty?

Solenergy works with leading global brands to bring you the latest technology, which is constantly evolving.  All panels have undergone rigorous testing and must withstand harsh Australian environmental conditions, including tropical storms, hail, high winds and salt air.

For added peace of mind, contact your home insurance company and let them know you have solar so your system will be covered.

Are your panels good quality, tier one German panels?

These days, there are few, if any panels manufactured in Germany. Most panels are manufactured in Asia.  Solenergy is at the forefront of technological advancements and quality assurance. We only source tier one, high quality, reputable brands with industry leading warranties and a strong presence in Australia.

Is it possible to increase the size of our system in the future?

Provided there is adequate roof space for panel placement, it is possible to increase the size of your system. We may need to install an additional inverter or upgrade the size of the existing inverter.

There’s a lot of talk about “battery-ready” systems. Do I need to purchase a special inverter today, to install a battery in the future?

A battery can be installed to any of our inverters – all of which are global leading brands.

A so-called “battery-ready” inverter contains a battery management system, but this means it will only plug and play with specific battery brands.

With battery technology evolving so quickly, many battery brands like Tesla for example, come with a built-in battery management system and will therefore not plug and play with “battery-ready” inverters.

A Solenergy Solar Specialist can work with you to help determine the best solution to meet your needs.

Do we have to complete any paperwork to claim the rebate or will you take care of that?

When you install a solar system, you receive small-scale technology certificates (STCs), which are often referred to as “the rebate”. This financial incentive is applied to your Solenergy quote. The larger the system size, the less reliance on the grid and therefore the more STCs are assigned.

Once your system is installed, you’ll sign what’s known as the STC assignment. Solenergy claims the STCs and emails your solar certification and STC assignment for your records. Simple.

You can read more about STCs here.

What our clients say

Solenergy was responsive and professional in their service to us. And, in a competitive industry, this was the key to them being awarded the job. From the start communication was clear, concise, and all aspects of the quoting process through to installation seemed to be easier than what we have become accustomed to when compared with other service industries.

We were really well looked after by Solenergy and we are thrilled with the system they installed. The entire team was helpful and friendly and very factual in their approach to selling the system, rather than being overly salesy. We wanted to ensure we got a high-quality system and we did. It was installed two weeks after we confirmed the order. We have had the system for a couple of months now and we’re really happy with it. We get great data from the app linked to the inverter.
